RESTORATION & CONSERVATION
We carry out a great deal of restoration and conservation work, regularly working on listed buildings.
We use blend a considered and meticulous approach with traditional plastering skills. This allows us to carry out work which is always of the expected high standards and matches the original architecture flawlessly.
LIME PLASTERING
At McAteer Plastering we use the same traditional lime materials and techniques used in plastering historic buildings. Lime mortars are breathable and hence have many advantages in both historic buildings and sustainable new builds.
We have the only mobile roll pan lime mixers in Northern Ireland, this ensures that we have the highest quality materials and end product.
INTERIOR PLASTER MOULDINGS
We undertake all decorative and ornamental plasterwork including fibrous mouldings, centrepieces and enrichments as well as in-situ mouldings and cornicing. For restoration projects, we can make matches to any mouldings and cornicing where originals exist or even freehand sculpture mouldings and enrichments from photos when no suitable original copies exist.
ROMAN CEMENT MOULDINGS
We also produce external mouldings using traditional Roman cement products via both fibrous and in-situ techniques.
ALL PLASTERING AND RENDERING
We also plaster many luxury new build houses, providing all external and internal finishes for both modern and traditional style builds.
